Don’t get me wrong; there’s nothing wrong with indulging in life’s sweeter things every once and a while. But there comes a point where you have to step back and say ‘woah, slow down there Ally girl, you’re on your way to sugar overload.’
Whilst I can not give up my sweet treats all together (it’s a serious issue), there are alternative ways to satiate my mad sugar cravings in healthier ways. Like these delicious Raw Chocolate Cups!
This recipe comes from the sexy and suave Miguel Maestre. With only raw and natural ingredients Miguel has created a decadent and sweet treat that is good for you.
1 cup raw cacao powder
1 cup coconut oil
1 tbsp honey
1 handful desiccated coconut
1 handful goji berries
1. Mix cocoa powder, coconut oil and honey in the glass of a stick blender. On the lowest speed, mix until well combined with no lumps.
2. In 4cm round silicone moulds (2cm depth), sprinkle some Goji Berries and Desiccated Coconut in each mould and top up with chocolate mix.
3. Set in freezer for 2 hours. Remove from mould and enjoy.
Rich and smooth and gone in two bites, these raw chocolate cups are the ultimate way to satisfy your inner chocolate monster without leading your otherwise healthy lifestyle astray.
Great for adults, and great for kids too! Best bit? They won’t know the difference.
