Foodies, I don’t know about you, but I’m excited.
Do you want to know why I’m excited? Do you? Yeah, you do, because you’re going to be excited too.
Coming up in about 3 weeks is Sydney’s Cake, Bake & Sweets show (I know, EXCITING STUFF!) WIthout me even telling you what it’s all about, your stomach should be growling and your mouth salivating. It’s obviously got everything and anything to do with sweets and baked goods, which we all here love, right?
It’s a baker and pretty much anybody with taste bud’s dream show. Wine expo? Eh. Sex expo? Hmm. Baking and cake expo? HELL YES.
So my dears, you ask: besides sending me into a sugar coma, what else does this show offer?
Well, for one, there’s a marketplace (the place that’s going to send you to your sugar coma) where you can sample and buy some sweet treats. There’s some hands on classes and workshops (fees apply). You can also view some of the best and most intricate cakes on offer at the cake decorating championships, plus loads more amazing and sweet things to do!
If that’s not enough, you’ll be able to release your inner fan-girl/boy as some of the biggest names in the baking world head to the show, including: Duff Goldman, Eric Lanlard, Dan Lepard, Kirsten Tibballs, King of macarons Adriano Zumbo and more.
It’s a foodie’s heaven, and I’m giving one lucky reader the chance to two tickets over two days! Obviously you’ll have to live in Sydney (sorry my international foodies! You’re more than welcome to fly out for the event!)
To enter, comment below in 30 words or less, your favourite dessert and why. Most creative and scrumptious answer wins!*
It’s all happening March 21st-23rd 2014. Visit www.cakebakeandsweets.com for more info and ticket prices.
*Competition closes Wednesday 5th March, 9pm Australian Eastern Standard Time

Sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce :) It’s light and fluffy, and just enough sweet to keep you satisfied until you want another!
Thanks for entering Mia! :) x
Ice cream sandwiches :) Ice cream always hit the spot and as in the words of my good friend the Cookie Monster, cookies are always OMNOMNOMNOMNOM.
Congrats Cookie Monsters Biggest Fan! You’ve won the two tickets! Your entry definitely made me laugh out loud and I have to agree – Ice cream sandwiches are the best! I’ll be in touch soon and get those tickets to you ASAP! x
Sticky date pudding!! It’s moist and gooey and sweet and with almond praline it sure is a good treat!
Definitely agree with you there Chloe! x
A very lemony, creamy and delicious little lemon tart with lots of cream and some rosemary on top – now that’s MY idea of a heavenly, amazingly delicious little treat.
YUM! love a good lemon tart x
A good chocolate pudding never goes amiss! Best thing for Chrissy, my mum used to always make it!
Thanks for entering Mike! Haha, I agree, chocolate puddings are delish for Christmas!
Definitely a chocolate molten lava cake served with a scoop of icecream. It’s got everything you need, the warmth and delicious oozing chocolate for comfort paired with the other evil of creamy icecream. Hot and cold works in this instance so you get the best of both worlds, who can say no to icecream and chocolate?
Thanks for entering elixrrr :) Chocolate molten lava cake sounds amazing – would love one right about now! just checked out your blog – good stuff! You’ve definitely got yourself a new follower x
Aww thankyou so much for your kind comments. Chocolate is comfort for a lot of people !
Nothing for me beats a cheesecake. I love them all ,however my favourite would have to be a white chocolate and blueberry cheesecake. The texture and flavour I love to savour. I serve it with a dollop of fresh whipped cream…CHEESECAKE – LICIOUS!!
double chocolate swirls- they are the most exquisite and mouth watering desert which always leaves me salivating
